House Inkerion was an ancient and honored house among the Drow nations of Enshannu. Among their rulers had been the last Empress of Enshannu, the great-grandmother of the current House ruler. That they lived on the land rather than caves was overlooked by most of the other ruling houses. Their Queens, warriors and battlemages were among the best in the Drow nation.
Towards the end of their supremacy, the entire tribe held a secret that all knew would be their downfall. Queen Eleria was so beloved, and feared, by her people that they willingly kept this secret. Protecting the Queen’s three children from hostile Houses was considered an honorable duty above all else. The secret? Her children were half-Drow, half-human.
For the Queen’s children, Idron, Quenild and Althea, were, in the eyes of most Drow, abomonations. Their father, the Queen’s mate, was a human Merlyn of great wisdom and power who captured her heart and the respect of her people.
